KickStart Spring 2020 groups have filled; we can add another team if we have sufficient registrations & a volunteer coach!
Thank for for our interest in our KickStart program. Our current Spring 2020 KickStart groups are now full and any additional registraitons made will go onto a waiting list. We will form an additional KickStart group if we get sufficient registrations requesting the same site AND a parent volunteer coach for the group.
KickStart serves children born in 2016 (u4), 2015 (u5) and 2014 (u6). Group assignments will be emailed to parents on Saturday, March 7.
Kick Start groups meets at either the Rainbow Soccer Fields or Southern Community Park from 5 - 6 pm on 6 Friday evening during the spring. Parents pick their preferred meeting site at the time of registration.
Participants will learn the basics of ball handling and moving their bodies with and without the ball in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. There are no Saturday games.
We are always looking for parent voluteer coaches. KickStart is a great way to get outside with your child for an hour and have some fun. We have an optional KickStart curriculum to help you get some ideas if you need them. you can volunteer to coach during the registration process for your child. We will also have a coaching clinic on Saturday, March 14 @ the Rainbow Fields where you can learn fun ways to successfully engage children in this age group.
Participants will need:
Size 3 soccer ball marked with their name
Sturdy shoes that will stay on with laces or Velcro. Soccer cleats are not required for KickStart.
