    Non-competetive soccer for people of all ages and skill levels
  • Chapel Hill United (CHU)
    is a division of Rainbow Soccer for young soccer players who want to train at a level just beyond recreational soccer, including U6, U8, and U10 teams. Our focus is, first and foremost, enjoying the game and, secondly, individual skill development.

Recreational soccer for children and adults of all skill levels and ages.

  • Beginning and advanced players are placed on the same small-sided teams and receive equal playing time
  • Practices are twice weekly (either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thurs) with games on Saturdays
  • Two seasons: Fall (September to November) and Spring (February to May)
  • 10 games are scheduled per season
  • All coaches and referees are volunteers. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to coach or referee their children's teams
  • Girls in 1st through 6th grades have the option to play in a co-ed league or all-girls league

  • The CHAPEL HILL UNITED division of Rainbow Soccer has programs that are designed to provide additional advanced technical training opportunities in a team-oriented environment to players who show interest beyond the recreational level.
  • The curriculum is based on age-appropriate guidelines and includes activities for developing players’ technical and creative decision-making skills, using dynamic activities and small-sided games in a fun and relaxed environment.
  • Program features trained coaches. All teams train twice per week, with games on Saturdays.
  • The U6 division (birthdates between 8/1/02 & 1/31/04) will be co-ed, with games played 4v4. The U8 (under age 8 as of 7/31/08) and U10 (under age 10 as of 7/31/08) divisions are split, boys and girls, with games played 6v6.
  • Two seasons: Fall (Aug-Nov) and Spring (March-May).
